Our Magnum Rotary Milking Platforms are exclusive to WFD & ATL in the North Island (and Milking Machines), or Rotary Milking Parlours (as known in some parts of the globe), are world renown for being the most comfortable, clean and least labour intensive milking systems available. Great environment for cows, milk plants (Basic or High Tech) and operators. The Major Benefits are constant flow process where the operator stays in one place putting the cups on as the cows pass by, makes the best use of manpower, and the cows are milked in individual bails. The rotation speed can be varied normally from 7 to 11 minutes depending on the herd's production, and milking times are more consistent compared to a batch type milking system. The cows are happier milking on a well set up rotary platform and they seldom muck in the shed. The odd slow milker is not a problem, they can go around again and not hold up a full row. Platforms can be sized to suit you herd size and required milking times. With automatic teat remover, one person can milk the cows if required. Our platforms have uncluttered and dry centre areas with no spokes or locating arms etc other than air and milk lines to the central gland. Our designs allow for the valuable and often high tech milk plant to be installed underneath in a clean dry environment also easy for maintenance. Round yard or square yard, well designed layout for optimum cow flow and herd control, with integrated drafting and loadout facilities. Electric overhead gate to bring up cows in smaller groups. Water or power driven backing gate complete with yard wash. Specification for Export "MAGNUM" Rotary Platforms 1.650 metre to 3 metre wide decks with 4.5mm 3CR12 (stainless steel like) chequer plate, steel or a combination of concrete outer and steel inner. Steel framework painted with anti rust paint underneath. Angled bails with Jetter mounts (65nb main bail posts). All bails and pipe work on the platform fabricated with galvanised medium wall pipe. Angled bails assists with cow loading, presents the udder at a better angle for cup placement as the cow rotates towards the operator. All minimising the time and effort required to place the cups on the cows by the operator. Variable speed drive. Steel support rollers all with nylon side rollers and all greasable. Wall or post mounted console beside operator with stop/start/reverse and variable speed control. Latest Design deck ports with no rubber through the deck. With the angled bails, the cows foot nearest the deck port is further forward than if the cow was square on, the rubber droppers are shorter and the claw to udder alignment is perfect. No tiring pulling and wearing rubberware up through a hole in the platform top and dragging them across to the cow's udder. This configuration minimises any sagging milk lines and avoiding any unnecessary plugging and vacuum fluctions. Pull cord around platform so platform can be stopped and started from anywhere around it. Optional deck height (normally about 880mm). Rump rail pressure switch at cups on (stops the platform if a cow gets caught getting on) Kick rail under the rumpp rail all the way around the platform which is an essential SAFETY feature. Stainless steel skirt all around the platform and 300mm in from the outside. This has a 200mm wide by 75mm deep drain around the outside of it and this stops any muck / water getting to the center, protecting rollers, milk plant etc and minimising the area to be cleaned after milking. 3 Bail chains with hooks at each end. 2 sets of steps down to centre for access to plant, metres etc (depending on size of platform) The platform needs a minimum of 1200mm between the outer edge and the closest wall. The platforms are normally assembled on the site under our supervision, with the assistance of local engineers. We Have platforms installed in New Zealand, Northern Ireland, England, Mexico, and the USA.
